I believe in free. The Internet started free. Much of it remains free today.

In the case of blog hosting, you always want to start with WordPress on your own paid-for domain and web host. You always need at least one place you control.

I will post links here to the join pages of various free blog hosts, as well as my comments about each concerning ease of use, editor tools, and Alexa/PageRank of each.

Free blog hosts are places to post summaries, stray comments, and links to your main blogs, social networking sites, and websites - as well as advertising links to your own products or affiliate programs.
